Beyond the Classroom
At Sihlangu Primary, we believe education extends far beyond academics. Our sports and cultural programmes develop teamwork, discipline, creativity, and confidence in every learner.
Physical Development
Soccer is one of the most popular sports at Sihlangu Primary. Our teams compete in local tournaments and inter-school competitions with exceptional passion.
Our netball teams have shown remarkable improvement and competitive spirit in district tournaments, growing stronger each season.
Volleyball is growing in popularity at Sihlangu, with both boys and girls participating enthusiastically in an inclusive team environment.
Chess develops strategic thinking, concentration, and problem-solving skills. Our club participates in district chess competitions and produces sharp critical thinkers.
Creative Expression
Our school choir performs at school events, community functions, and eisteddfods. Singing develops confidence, teamwork, and musical appreciation in every participant.
Thursdays — 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM
Drama and role-play help learners develop public speaking, creativity, and empathy. Our drama group presents annual productions to the whole school community.
Fridays — 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM
Art club allows learners to explore visual arts, developing creativity and fine motor skills. Learner artwork is proudly displayed at school events and in our corridors.
Tuesdays — 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM
Heritage & Pride
Our traditional dance group celebrates Siswati culture and heritage through vibrant performances at school events, cultural festivals, and competitions across the region.
1st Place — Nkomazi Cultural Festival 2024 — Our traditional dance group brought home the top prize, representing Sihlangu Primary with exceptional skill and pride.
