Democratic Elections — Student council members are elected annually through a democratic voting process, teaching learners about civic responsibility from an early age.
Critical Thinking
Our debate club develops critical thinking, research skills, and confident public speaking — preparing learners to articulate ideas and engage the world with clarity and conviction.
Skills Development
Throughout the year we conduct focused leadership workshops for selected learners, covering practical skills they will draw on for the rest of their lives.
Quarterly Workshops — Held each term with guest speakers from the community sharing their experiences and journeys as leaders.
Peer Support
Our peer mentorship programme pairs senior learners (Grade 7) with younger learners (Grades R–3) to provide academic and social support across the school community.
Community Engagement
Student council organises monthly community clean-up campaigns in Sihlangu village, teaching environmental responsibility and civic pride in action.
Learners visit and assist elderly community members, cultivating respect, compassion, and an understanding of their place in a broader community.
Student leaders take active roles in organising school events, assemblies, and parent meetings — putting their leadership skills to real use every term.
